Jekyll Island, which is located between Cumberland and St. Simons Islands here in Coastal Georgia, has some excellent sight and fly fishing opportunities. Jekyll Island fly fishing offers Sight fishing opportunities include shallow water tailing redfish, triple tail, tarpon, sharks, cobia, huge jacks, and more. You can also plan to throw popper at daylight for some explosive speckled trout and redfish action cathcing ladyfish and jacks in the mix.
Fly Fishing for most of these species is seasonal so call and let us know when you are planning your trip and we will let you know what the best fishing is during that time. Sight fishing redfish at low water is a year around opportunity here in Coastal Georgia or you can book a “flood tide” trip in Spring-Fall for some incredible tailing action around new and full moons when the water floods our pristine marshes. Tarpon fishing is best on fly from July to early September and recommended for seasoned anglers. Sight fishing Triple Tail with the fly is best from late March to June off Jekyll Island. Huge Jacks up to 40 pounds frequent our waters from June – September.
