Lower Florida Keys – Everglades Guided Fishing Charters. Call Capt. Scott at 912-270-7300 for booking info today!
As a South Florida native from Miami Capt. Scott grew up fishing the Florida Keys and Everglades with his father who was an avid fly and light tackle angler and a sail boat Captain himself. Developing years of knowledge fishing and now guiding in the Everglades and lower Keys Capt. Scott will ensure you have a safe and enjoyable day on the water. From Big Pine Key to Key West and the Marquesas, Capt. Scott spends time guiding clients on both back country and ocean side flats for tarpon, sharks, bonefish, barracuda, permit, snook, redfish, and more. His departure points vary depending on seasons, targets pieces, and weather. Most clients can stay anywhere from lower Marathon to Key West and have a short drive in the mornings to one of the departure locations.
Spring and early Summer in the Florida Keys
As days get longer and waters tempatures warm the tarpon migration in the Florida Keys starts and large numbers of these amazing fish start to fill the basins, cuts, and area flats. These fish “stage up” for a period until they start to move on their annual track north up the coast in May/June. This time of year is when anglers can expect to find some of the best adult tarpon fishing in the world.

Heath finds himself doing battle with a fish well over 100lb after presenting a well place fly.
Fall and Winter in the Florida Keys and Everglades
In fall and winter months Capt. Scott not only guides in the Lower Keys but also in Everglades National Park around Flamingo and Key Largo. He offers guided trips in areas like Snake Bite, Flamingo, East Cape, and the no motor zones (NMZ) deep in the everglades where very few anglers visit because of their remote locations and limited accesses. These NMZ’s are very secluded and full of fish, birds, alligators, and crocodiles. Anglers can expect to find aggressive juvenile tarpon, redfish, snook, and more in these remote areas of the everglades as well as some amazing sights Mother Nature has to offer.
In the Lower Keys bonefish, permit, and juvenile tarpon are still around on warmer days and the cooler weather also brings sea trout, snapper, jacks, barracuda and more to the area flats. September and October permit and bonefish move aggressively over shallow flats in search of food. These 2 months are also a great time to catch a grand slam.
If you are interested in one of these trips contact Capt. Scott for availability and if he is not available he works closely with some of the best guides in the keys and can get you in touch with the right guide for you.
