This was the largest speckled trout I have had the This was the largest speckled trout I have had the pleasure of guiding a client to in Georgia. She was 31.5 inches long and a solid healthy fish. We let her go so maybe someone else will enjoy catching her. Trout like these should be let go to spawn. Good genetics in this girl!

Nice catching these baby reds but sad to see them Nice catching these baby reds but sad to see them disappearing as fast as they appeared. I was running into this spot and passed 2 boats coming out. Small creeks can’t handle that kind of pressure yet these same people are in these creeks killing 10-30 reds a day per boat that fishes it. We were lucky to catch 6 but it wasn’t long ago I would come into this very spot and catch over 50. #letthemgrowsotheycangrow #redfish #stopbeingselfish @georgiasaltwater @georgiawildlife #makethechange 2 fish per person! On August 11th, 2018, we booked a 3 man trip for tarpon with Captain Scott Owens. I had read solid reviews and knew that we would likely find a few tarpon, but I had no idea how amazing of an adventure we were in for! Scott covered a ton of water to get us onto the hot fishing. Once we arrived, he almost instantly spotted a large school of yellow tail jacks. We quickly hooked up on DOAs and the fights were on! All 3 of us caught multiple jacks that ranged upwards of 40 pounds and were pound for pound one of the best fighting fish in the ocean! From there, we moved into the tarpon grounds and I was absolutely amazed by the number of fish we were seeing. Once we found the bait and settled in, the ocean seemed to be exploding with bait fish popping, spinner sharks breaching out of the water and our prized tarpon lazily rolling. These were relaxed fish doing their thing. This is not something you would expect to experience on the crowded coast. Captain Scott's experience, drive and insane skills allowed my father in law to achieve the newly minted "Georgia big game slam" of tarpon, bull redfish and jacks in the same day! Unreal experience we will never forget! We'll be back read more Patrick M

I booked a tarpon trip with Captain Rob in July and couldn’t have been more satisfied with our charter. Captain Rob was very experienced and knew exactly where the fish would be. He is a great guy dedicated to helping you catch the fish you are looking for, and in our case accomplishing the dream of catching a huge tarpon! We loved our experience with Southeastern Angling and couldn’t have asked for a better fishing trip. read more Abby M

Great time on the water for a kids fish. Both my 10 yes old son and my 7 yr old daughter had a wonderful time. Plenty of fish to be caught and boated. Knowledgeable guide not only about the water but about the species and where more than willing to educate the kids. Plenty of fish caught too. Will definitely be coming back again!!!!! read more Jay J
