Spring is here, and the temps are on the rise both in the air as well as the water. Fishing is heating up as well. Redfish have been happy up shallow and eager to eat a well placed artificial, fly, or a live offering. Speckled trout are moving around as they typically do this time of year. Tough to locate one day and all you want the next. We were able to find some nice groups of really nice fish this week along with plenty of smaller fish to boot. It is a great time to get the kids out with a wide open bite on nice whiting and the bonnethead sharks are here in force. The nearshore reefs are still giving up sheepshead, black sea bass, weakfish (summer trout), and bull redfish, with some nice flounder in the mix as well. Tripletail should be here anytime with the current water temps, just need a day to go get them. These fish should make a strong showing in April this year with the cobia close behind. Give us a call and get in on the action.
