Well after battling it out with some of the worlds best redfish anglers and pro’s and fishing some really nasty conditions we went into the last tournament leading the points. Rob and I fished a spot south of St. Augustine where we were on fish the week before the trip and as the tides got right the rains and winds started. It rained so hard that we could not see the tree line 100 yards away and the fish on the flood were not going to tail with this down pour. We made a move south to Pelicier where we know we could put a few fish in the boat. At this point we were half way through the day and know we just needed to weigh in fish to maintain our lead for team of the year. We ran the trolling motor dead that day and on the last cast we brought in our second fish. Both were rats but put us on the board and we then went on to win The of the Year.
Thanks Rob for the hard work in those rains we could not see in.
