St. Simons Island – Jekyll Island – Sea Island

It’s all about early mornings. I had a client cancel three full days of tarpon fishing with me last minute and got lucky and picked up a couple early morning half day trips. With water temperatures in the mid to upper 80’s and even low to mid 90s at low tide I was skeptical about the bite.

To my surprise the bite was exceptional we had quite a few red fish in the 10 to 12 pound range some big black drum trout and six flounder. It wasn’t bite I expected this time of year and great to see. We even caught a few juvenile Redfish so hopefully that is a good sign of things to come.

Life is good and I can’t wait to see what tomorrow’s bite brings.
